What is Egg Donation?

Egg donation gives individuals and couples another path to building a family. At Irvine Surrogacy, base compensation for egg donors starts at $10,000 per completed donation cycle, with payment terms outlined in the donor agreement. The process takes place at a fertility clinic under the care of a reproductive specialist. Donor screening includes a review of personal and family medical history, along with medical and genetic evaluations to help determine eligibility.

Intended parents may consider a donor’s background, interests, education, and physical characteristics when choosing a match. Some look for shared features, such as hair or eye color, while others feel connected to a donor’s personality and personal story.

ISA offers anonymous egg donation. If both parties are interested, a video meeting may be arranged by mutual agreement. Expectations about privacy and future contact are discussed before proceeding and documented in the donation agreement.

Egg donation begins with an informed choice.

ISA welcomes applications from adults age 18 and older. We start by learning about you, your background, and your reasons for donating. You will have an opportunity to ask questions before deciding whether to continue. A fertility clinic evaluates medical suitability before any donation cycle begins.

Applying is a first step

You do not need to have donated before. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, a match, compensation, or a donation cycle.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply at 18?

Yes. ISA accepts applications from people 18 and older. A clinic may use a different age range or other criteria for medical approval.

Do I need prior donation experience?

No prior experience is required to submit an ISA application. Tell us about any previous donations so that they can be reviewed.

What does the medical process involve?

A clinic typically conducts screening, prescribes ovarian-stimulation medication, monitors your response and performs egg retrieval under sedation or anesthesia. Your clinic explains your individual schedule and care.

Are there risks or side effects?

Egg donation involves injections, monitoring and a medical procedure. Risks include ovarian hyperstimulation, bleeding, infection and anesthesia-related complications. Your clinician should explain these and your individual risks before you consent.

How long will it take?

Application review, matching and screening can vary considerably. The active cycle requires reliable availability. ISA and the clinic will discuss the expected schedule before you commit.

Will I receive compensation?

Yes. The average base compensation starts with $10,000. Ask ISA about the current compensation terms and covered expenses. Any applicable amounts, payment conditions and travel arrangements should be provided in writing. Payment is not guaranteed by submitting this form.

Will my identity remain anonymous?

Yes. ISA offers anonymous donation, meaning your identity is not shared with recipients through the program.

Can I donate more than once?

Tell ISA and the clinic about every prior cycle. Repeat donation requires a fresh review; ASRM generally recommends no more than six stimulated donation cycles.

How will ISA use my application?

ISA reviews applications for its own donor recruitment and follow-up. Answers and photos are available to authorized staff rather than displayed publicly on this page.
